BUSINESS AND NON-INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS
It is the policy of the Board that not only the letter, but the spirit of all laws and regulations relating to purchases by the school system and the control of its finances and property, be abided by strictly and without exception.
Purchases and use of materials and manpower shall be accomplished in accordance with good business practices with the primary purpose of serving the program of instruction. This school district shall not enter into any contract with a person, agency or organization if it has proof that such person, agency or organization discriminates on the basis of race, color, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, jury duty, Vietnam-Era Veteran status, physical or mental disability, or any other legally protected status, either in employment practices or in the provision of benefits or services to students or employees.
