Attachment to special meeting BOE August 23 - BOE Retreat

 

 

Call to Order:             Board Chair Diane Knox called the meeting to order at 3:13 p.m.

at Education Connection Goshen Road  Litchfield, CT

 

Present:                       Diane Knox, Tina Reardon (left at 5:15), John Noone, Wayne Shuhi, Harold Fairchild, Jonathan Costa, Frank Simone

 

Excused:                     Robert Doyle, Donald Falcetti

 

Others Present:           Roy Tourtelotte, Dom Vita, Bob Rader (CABE), Lisa Steimer (CABE)

 

Bob Rader (Executive Director of CABE) and Lisa Steimer (CABE staff member) were introduced to the Board of Education.  They met with the Board to facilitate a Board retreat for the purpose of assisting the Board establish its operational goals, discussing Board roles and responsibilities, and other organizational issues as indicated on the attached agenda.  (addendum #1)  The Board discussed these issues extensively.

 

Adjournment:             Motion to adjourn made by Frank Simone, seconded by Wayne Shuhi – affirmative vote was unanimous.  Meeting adjourned by Diane Knox at 6:21 p.m.
