August 2014

Dear Students and Parents,

I hope that your summer is going well and you are getting ready to start the new school year!  Things are quiet here in school, but beginning to get busier.  The school looks beautiful thanks to the hard work and dedication of our custodial staff.  Teachers have been working hard on getting their classrooms ready for the first day.

This year we welcome Nada Noujaim to Center School.  Miss Noujaim will be teaching first grade, and will bring wonderful enthusiasm and knowledge that will inspire our students.  We have also have Mrs. Wilcox moving to third grade this year.

Our Open House will be held on Wednesday August 27.  Students are invited to visit their classrooms and meet their teachers on August 27 from 12:00-1:00.   Teachers will be in their rooms during that time, as we have meetings scheduled at 1:00.  We hope you will drop by during that time to say hello and meet teachers, friends and classmates.

Kindergarten students will meet their teachers and visit their classrooms on Tuesday August 26 at 9 am during their Bus Orientation.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

During the summer months, we would like to reinforce mathematical concepts learned. With the success from last year, we will continue to go green and are providing an online math resource for students to access. Simply click on Summer Math button below. The students will have an opportunity to complete a grade level math quiz, explore math websites and free apps, reinforce and apply math at home and record their work.

We hope you and your child enjoy this new format. Math is everywhere, keep those skills sharp!

Have a wonderful summer.
