The mission of the Litchfield High School Advisory Program is to help foster our students’ intellectual growth and goal-setting, decision-making, problem-solving skills through small group discussions and activities. LHS Advisory activities are intended to build our students’ skill base regarding effective study habits, long-term planning, and self-advocacy. To this end, all LHS students will work with an advisor who will assist their advisees as these students work to meet the Litchfield High School academic, social, and civic expectations. Students in grades 9-11 will meet in their Advisory groups weekly on Friday’s throughout the school year.
Through Advisory, students will complete their personal Student Success Plan (SSP). The Student Success Plan (SSP) is an individualized student driven plan that will be developed to address every student's needs and interests to help them stay connected in school and to achieve post-secondary educational and career goals.
