Referendum
In early 2018, the district began work on how to address concerns on declining enrollment and the impact to our students and school communities. This work entailed presentations, discussions and input from the Board of Education, community member feedback through Town Tours and surveys, staff input and feedback, the formation of a Work Group on Enrollment and School Design, and a Public Hearing culminating with a Referendum vote for our three communities on November 5, 2019.
This referendum considers a revision of one grade level to the current elementary configuration (K-6). The new configuration allows the district to confront the issue of declining enrollment while enhancing programs for our children.
Further communications including a community wide mailing and Town Informational Tours at each school will be held prior to November 5, 2019.
